Do you think we’ll sign striker this summer?
I highly doubt it, given Antonio had just done a whole season + europe campaign alone upfront.

It’s a disgrace really! The board should already have a striker ready to announce once the official window opens. They’ve had so long to sign someone since Haller. Rob Newman is probably by the pool watching YouTube clips of “Darwin Nunez skills” put together by a 14 year old.

Awaits the usual 'knicker wetting' comment to be used by the same knobs who've backed them every window to get it done and they don't......the same numpties are relying on 'it's got to happen one window' that's how divvy they are.......

Re: Do you think we’ll sign striker this summer?
We have to. Need to be able to rotate the squad more and give Antonio serious competition.
The sticking point will be a player who Moyes likes. I don't think he is big on 'name' players with big egos and lets face it good strikers often have huge egos as they win games and get paid highly. If we start shopping in the bargain bin then we could waste a ton of money on another Vlasic.

They won't buy early as it would mean more wages.

Quite simply we have to sign at least one decent striker and I find it inconceivable that we won't. But it wouldn't surprise me if we only sign one, so Sonny Perkins would effectively be third choice.

I wonder how everyone will feel if we sign 1 player pre-season and say we had multiple bids we couldn’t get across the line in time !!

And yes I believe a proper striker will be signed before preseason

If they won't sign anyone before pre-season it confirms this is still run as a circus

In name yes but I doubt there will be any quality.

If we're signing a few players on a free like Nketiah and LOMBARD, then you'd hope they'd be announced early doors.

Re: Do you think we’ll sign striker this summer?
We will sign "a striker" but fuck knows what he will turn out to be - a winger, a number 10, a central midfielder.
We really should have 3 or 4 of our signings lined up with just a few additions later but I really can't see it

Re: Do you think we’ll sign striker this summer?
Yes, and hopefully we will act quickly and not wait until the summer. We have had lots of time to identify targets so bring them in and give Rice and Bowen sound reasons to stay and not rely upon 'promises'.

David Moyes delivers ridiculous West Ham transfer update that fans will hope is just a ruse
2 days ago Damien Charles Lucas

David Moyes has delivered a frankly ridiculous West Ham transfer update that the club’s fans will hope is just a ruse.

They say you can’t kid a kidder and West Ham fans have been kidded on all too often over the club’s transfer ambitions in the past.

Moyes is old school and plays his cards close to his chest when it comes to transfers, injury news, team selection – the lot.

If David Moyes is incapable of finding a striker that suits our current squad then the decision should be taken out of his hands

100% yes. Will they be any good is the question I'd be concerned about.

Looks like Moyes wants Nketiah after all.

Re: Do you think we’ll sign striker this summer?
Yes. Whether they will be the answer is another matter.

As for Rob Newman doing fuck all- there is a huge difference between scouting being done, targets identified, and the man who holds the purse strings actually putting in sensible, realistic offers for them and getting them signed. He might have done fuck all but his career to date would suggest otherwise. Man City have been pretty good at bringing the right players in.

I don't think we will now. Will buy the likes of Lewis-Potter and play Bowen up top when Antonio isn't ready.
